We will explore these topics: self-regulation, executive functioning skills, self-confidence, and relationship building. You will walk away with a toolbox filled with tools to help you transition from being your child's executive functioning brain to being their executive functioning coach, aka making them independent rather than dependent on you to do everything!!

📝 Break down of the Curriculum 

🙋‍♀️Week 1: Understanding ADHD Dynamics 

We can’t help our kids if we don’t understand how ADHD impacts their daily behaviours. In week one, we will understand why our kids can’t follow directions, get started on a task as simple as brushing their teeth, need constant reminders, struggle with motivation, explode, and can’t meet expectations based on their birth year.

📌Week 2/3: Building an Executive Functioning Toolbox

Over the next two weeks, we will focus on learning strategies to teach our kids executive functioning skills, which are life skills. Topics include:

  • Time management

  • Organization and planning

  • Prioritization

  • Working memory

  • Task Initiation 

  • Focus and sustained effort

  • Impulse control

Week 4: Communicating Effectively with Your ADHD Child

During week four, the emphasis will be on changing how we speak to our children to get them to listen and take accountability for their actions. We will learn how to communicate with our kids so they are willing to do what we need without arguing. We will also learn how to get you to calm the fluff down!!

📍Week 5: Empowering Independence for a Bright Future 

In our final week together, you will transition from being their executive functioning brain to being their coach. You will learn how to optimize your home to boost the ADHD brain so that you can have fewer behaviour challenges and bring back laughter and joy into your parenting journey.
